Name of the Game: Discipline

"We can't win when we're the most penalized team in the country."

Bottom line: Question calls all you want.

(Trust me. I do.)

At the end of the day, you end up battling the guys with the whistles as much as your opponent, and that's not a good thing. The guys in stripes don't like being battled. They are just there to do their jobs.

The Bulldogs host Michigan Tech this weekend. The two most penalized teams in the WCHA are getting together. Either the teams adjust to the way games are being called this year, or we see a whole slew of power plays, and everyone -- fans, players, coaches, broadcasters, official scorer -- ends up agitated, no matter who wins.

Expect UMD to trot out different lines than you're used to. We'll have the official lines for both teams prior to faceoff at the DECC. If you can't make it out -- damn it! -- then we hope you'll listen at www.fan1490.com.
